These goats really work. I use the milk for cheese and soap, and other things. I milk by hand and expect lots of good tasting milk and nice manners on the stanchion.

First Chèvre of the Year!

I had just 2 quarts of extra milk to play with but I made the first chèvre of the year anyway. A sublime peppered chèvre!

Shocking!

Lola, who usually has triplets and last year had quads had a large single buckling! Black with moonspots and frosted ears. His ears are nicer than her kids generally have. She has airplane ears herself and that's been a struggle.

In the meantime spring is here in the high desert region of central Washington and we are happy about it!
