Debbie Osborne's Animal Worming Recipe
by Debi Pearl of No Greater Joy Ministries
March 2003
Debbie Osborne told me of a natural parasitic that she uses with both her goats and horses.
Ingredients
1 cup dry Mustard seed - powder
2 cups Thyme leaf - cut
2 cups Wormwood herb - cut*
1 cup Black Walnut hull - powder*
2 cups Sage leaf - chopped
1 cup Garlic - minced*
2 cups Rosemary leaf - chopped
1/2 cup Cloves - chopped
1 cup Psyllium seed - powder
2 cups Diatomaceous Earth (D.E.)*
She says, “As a rule of thumb, I use 1 cup of the powdered herbs to 2 cups of the cut herbs, except for the cloves and the D.E.” The most crucial ingredients in the recipe are marked by an asterisk (*).
Directions
Sprinkle the mixture on their feed in the morning and evening for 7 days straight. A mature goat gets about 1 tablespoon in the morning and evening. A mature pony gets about 1/4 cup in the morning and evening. A mature horse gets about 3/4 cup in the morning and evening. Use slightly smaller amounts for offspring.
This recipe can be used with other animals. Just use your judgment on adjusting the amounts of the daily dosages according to the animal's body weight."

Umm... check out Pat Coleby, her book, Natural Goat care. Her mineral mix is 25 lbs sifted Dolomite, 4 lbs kelp meal, 4 lbs sulfur (to get the clumps out, sift it, everything will go through, but the clumps will go away) 4 lbs copper sulfate.
Dolomite will make them stronger, and healthier, and they can survive eating toxic plants. Their livers don't shut down so easily, if they have dolomite in their diet. It saved mine from rhubarb. Added with comfrey plants.
Kelp is just so good. So much nutrients and mineral in it. Gets rid of orf, sore mouth.
Sulfur can also be applied on a goat with lice, and within 24 hours, a goat can be lice free. It's good for them, on them, and a a small amount in their diet.
Copper sulfate can be uses in water to soak hooves in, and get rid of hoof rot. Also rids them of worms. Healthier goats. Shinier coats. You can tell if a goat has worms, by looking inside their eyelid, by the color. And also, if goats rub their tail, and their tail has rubbed hair on their tail, their wormy.
So if you mix all these minerals, and give a little bit. like a little teaspoon, in their grain, they will shine with health. Definitely check out Pat Coleby's book.
We make goat milk soap btw.
